The Management The members of the management team of Signum Healthcare all have extensive experience in the China market, as described below.
Steven Pinkert, MD, JD, Chairman of the Board: Mr. Pinkert worked with Dr. Schwade to open one of the first CyberKnife centers in the world. He has traveled to China many times and provides technical, legal and international experience to the success of Signum Healthcare.
Terry W. White, Chief Executive Officer: Mr. White is a senior healthcare executive, with broad expertise in settings as diverse as small community hospitals to large metropolitan medical centers. He began work with China’s healthcare system twenty years ago. White is a co-founder of Centura Health, the largest healthcare system in Colorado and is the former Chief Executive Officer of PorterCare Health System of Denver, Colorado, a four hospital multi-hospital system.
Lonnie Busby, Chief Financial Officer/Co-Founder: For the last seven years, Mr. Busby has been developing healthcare projects in China. During this period, he gained extensive knowledge of the Chinese healthcare industry, made invaluable relationships and contacts within the industry and government and has assembled a team that can execute on the business plan for Signum Healthcare.
James Schwade, MD, Medical Director: Dr. Schwade is an internationally recognized expert in radiation oncology. He developed one of the first CyberKnife centers in the world, located in Miami, Florida. He has published over 180 professional articles. He is currently developing a major proton treatment center.
Victor Lazzaro, Jr., Co-Founder/Senior Advisor: Mr. Lazzaro has spent the last five years working in China, including as the General Manager of Capitis China. In addition to the knowledge he has gained of the Chinese healthcare industry, he has established numerous business development contacts throughout the country. He was previously President & CEO of United HealthCare – Mountain States.
Cannon Sum, Chinese Market Entry Specialist: Mr. Sum is a Hong Kong entrepreneur with over twenty years of business experience in China. During this time he has developed numerous contacts in both business and government, and has an in-depth understanding of how to operate a business successfully in the Chinese market.
Chen Hui, Joint Venture Partner: Mr. Chen is a Chinese entrepreneur with extensive experience in Chinese healthcare and has forged strong relationships around the country with healthcare providers and government officials. He plays a vital role in market assessment, contract negotiations and provides important relationships in establishing the CyberKnife Centers.
Yang Weijun, Joint Venture Partner: Mr. Yang provides strong administrative experience, including accounting and sales support to Signum operations in China. He teams with Mr. Chen to provide market assessment, identifies locations and develops contract negotiation strategies.
